I started blogging when I was in high school and during that time I’ve used free blogging platforms such as Xanga, Tabulas, and Blogspot. I only discovered WordPress during my 4th year in high school where I’ve sent an application for a subdomain with a self-hosted domain (I think it was girlaloo.net) and the blogging platform used on that blog was WordPress. I have no choice to study and tinker with WordPress in order to put up my blog.
Since I was new to WordPress at that time, I opted to self-study and read tutorials for WordPress in the net. Basically, I know how to code and do my own graphics so it wasn’t hard for me to familiarize myself with WordPress. But, up until now I’m still learning and trying new things to make my blog look and work better. No one masters something overnight, right?
So, Are you planning to put up your own WordPress blog just like mine? Here’s how to make a website using WordPress. It’s super easy to setup WordPress and IMHO I prefer WordPress over other blogging platforms. Not only because it’s easy to use but I could customize it to anything I want. PURE AWESOMENESS! Plus there are free plugins, widgets and themes in the Internet that you could use to make you blog even more pretty-ful (Wait~ Is that even a word? HAHA!)
